Agri-Service Centres
These centres are the heart of the Division. Each centre looks after the same three primary needs of the farmer: technical guidance, high quality agri–inputs at reasonable price and output marketing with value addition. However, each centre faces a different set of challenges given the variation in agro–climatic conditions from state to state. Trained agricultural extension workers establish rapport with the farmers of their area, regularly visit their fields, correctly diagnose problems and provide expert technical guidance and services in these four areas. Most of these services are offered free of cost.

Drip Irrigation
Laljibhai Dholu: I have been using drip irrigation system since 2007. Before that I was putting 25 kg of urea on one acre of cotton, but now I only need 5 kg of urea. Also, with drip irrigation, I don’t have to spray the chemical product; all I have to do is mix the product with the water and open the valve.   more
